endangered species

Well here in New Zealand we have lots!! Many of them r unique & consdiered to be ''ancient''. Here r some
- Kiwi (all 4 species)
- Yellow eyed penguin
- Weta (9 species - insect)
- Kakapo (heaviest parrot in the world/ flightless)
- Takahe (bird - thought extinct for many years until rediscovered)
- native bat (2 spp)
- Hectors Dolphin (smallest dolphin in the world)

The link below has our animals (there r also plants too that r threatened) listed & has which ones r extinct, rare, threatened etc Unfortunatly its a lot of them that are!!
